yesterday = study, today = crafty

everyone has probably seen this all over pinterest .... i love it. i have a friend, mary, who did it and it turned out great so i thought i would try it. didn't quite turn out the way i had hoped...i think partly due to the glue i used (tacky glue) and my hair dryer that's a monster. mary recommended using indoor/outdoor modgepodge because it doesn't melt, and taking breaks between colors. i'll probably try that next time! it's an easy, fun project to beat the boredom.

step one: glue a box of crayons to a canvas

step two: put hair dryer on high and start melting!

ta daaaa! i like it best this way because it looks like the crayons exploded upward and out...like fireworks or something

oh and this was the sunset tonight in auburn:

i was on a run when the sun was setting...i SPRINTED home to get my camera and went a few feet back from outside of our apartment (which is pictured) to get this shot. this is untouched. no edits. no special effects. just God. wow. he is good, isn't he?
nothing compares to the creation of the Lord. and he made it for us to enjoy. wow. our God is great.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O LORD, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
