DIY project

so last night i did a little retail therapy at TJ Maxx. for those of you who don't mind digging to find treasures this place is a real treat. i'm slightly obsessed.

i bought these frames. i love them. best part? $5 each.

but they didn't have hooks on the back to hang them on the wall.....so i looked through my trusty craft box and wa-la! i found the perfect way to hang them using hemp rope, glue, scissors, and old clothes pins.

1. first i cut three pieces of hemp rope equal lengths.
2. next i glued the hemp rope to the backs of the frames and let it dry over night so i  knew it was good and sturdy.

3. then i hung them on the wall using regular push pins.

4. finally, for aesthetic purposes, i used double stick tape to tape the clothes pins to the ends of the push pins to give it the effect that the clothes pins are holding the picture frames (but they aren't).

5. done! - i've been trying to find something to take up that space over my t.v.
thank goodness for TJ's! now if only i can keep it there and not change it....
