the past two weekends

so i checked out anthro's sale today in birmingham. ugh i die.

the bad news: that cute black and white top pictured below was worse than HORRID. the thing doesn't have sleeves. the picture is deceiving. it was soooooooooo blah. as soon as i put it on my mom goes "okayyyy... no." haha. the other bad news is that the one sweater i was dying to try on was sold out. but don't worry there is good news! there is way more in the store on sale than online (duh) and i found two tops that are just lovely. everything on sale was an additional 25% off (thanks columbus!) so both tops were pretty much 75% off.

the poncho on the left is seriously amazing. i can't wait to wear it with skinny jeans and boots.

the top on the left is actually a little jacket, it's super sheer with a pretty threaded and beaded detailing.

both are really flattering. on the hangers not so much. on the body different story.

AND....

these are long over due but this was two weekends ago in South Carolina.

we had so much fun, i haven't laughed so much in a long time. i think i actually formed some abs...(wishful thinking). i didn't take too many pictures. the top two are from my awesome unbreakable camera (that takes terrible pics) and the rest i stole from mary caroline's camera.

SOUTH CAROLINA

first night...dinner at garibaldi cafe. it was delicious. they had these oysters topped with parmesan cheese and herbs and spices. literally amazing.

saturday was pretty laid back, we tailgated for a little while then headed to the game which ended in a unexpected win!

TUSCALOOSA

this weekend i went to tuscaloosa for my sister's parent's weekend.

as much as i hate to admit it....it was really fun! (probably because of the company, not the town...sorry sis! war eagle.) we laughed and laughed and talked and joked and ate too much.
it was wonderful.
